Chapter 4.1 Introduction

The detailed Scilab knowlege isn’t necessary to use this course. The only one Scilab application – Xcos will be used.
The shown examples are the tip of the iceberg only. But these small examples amount shows the Scilab power.

Chapter. 4.3 3D diagrams
Scilab is equipped with some demos – Scilab language ready programs. Beginners can feel Scilab power without programs writing.
You will draw function z = sin(x)*cos(y) surface for -4…x…+4, -4…y…+4.

Chapter 4.4 Levitron
This model is equipped with animation.

The levitron will rotate when click “start”. Do you observe precession effect? You can push “stop” , change initial conditions and start experiment again.

Put the coin egdewise on the table and push it.

Chapter. 4.7 Conclusions
Each demo is a Scilab program. It is possible to write these program in “normal” language as C++ and assembler even. But it will be much stiffller than math specialized Scilab.
